Serve & Participate
There are many ways to serve God and our community. All ministries are open to parishioners who feel called to give their time and gifts.
Our music ministry enriches the worship experience at all three churches. We welcome singers, instrumentalists and those with technical or coordinating skills to join our teams.
Our pastoral care team visits the sick, elderly and homebound members of our community, bringing Holy Communion and the comfort of the Church to those who cannot attend Mass.
Readers and ministers of the word proclaim the Scriptures at Mass and help the community encounter God through the living Word. Training and formation are provided.
Extraordinary Ministers assist with the distribution of Holy Communion at Mass and carry the Eucharist to the sick and homebound. A deeply meaningful ministry of service.
Our hospitality teams welcome parishioners and visitors at the door, assist with morning teas and parish events, and help create a warm and inclusive community atmosphere.
Inspired by Catholic Social Teaching, our social justice group advocates for the vulnerable, supports local charities and engages with issues of justice, peace and the integrity of creation.
Community & Spirituality
Our parish is home to a rich variety of groups for prayer, formation, fellowship and service. All are welcome.
A community of women gathering monthly for prayer, reflection and spiritual growth. Each gathering explores a theme from Scripture or the spiritual tradition. All women are warmly welcome.
Drawing on the rich tradition of St Ignatius of Loyola, this group offers retreats, days of reflection and the Spiritual Exercises for those seeking a deeper prayer life.
A weekly gathering to explore the Sunday Gospel readings in depth. Suitable for all levels — beginners very welcome. Facilitated by trained parish volunteers.
The 9am Family Mass at St Mary's has a long and lively tradition. Families serve in welcoming, hospitality, collecting, as acolytes, communion ministers and ministers of the word.
