Sacrament of Initiation
Be sealed with the Gift of the Holy Spirit. A journey of faith, community, and transformation for young people.
The Sacrament
Confirmation is one of the three sacraments of initiation, completing the grace of Baptism and strengthening the bond with the Church. In Confirmation, the candidate receives the Gift of the Holy Spirit — wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord — to live as a disciple of Christ.
At the Parish of Our Lady of the Way, our Confirmation program is designed for young people in Year 9 and above. Over several months, candidates journey together through prayer, learning, service, and reflection — preparing their hearts to receive this beautiful sacrament.
