Established 1887
The Parish of Our Lady of the Way is Australia's largest Catholic parish, encompassing three historic churches and a vibrant community of over 12,000 parishioners across North Sydney, Lavender Bay and Kirribilli.
Administered by the Jesuits, our parish is committed to the Ignatian tradition of finding God in all things — in prayer, in service, in community and in the beauty of everyday life.

We worship across three beautiful historic churches in the North Sydney area. All are welcome.
We acknowledge and give thanks for the first people of Australia and honour the traditional custodians of the land on which we gather today. We pay our respect to the elders past and present and emerging of the Cammeraygal People of the Eora Nation.

Our Commitment
The safety and dignity of every person in our community — especially children and vulnerable adults — is sacred to us.
The Parish of Our Lady of the Way is committed to the safety, wellbeing and dignity of all people — particularly children and vulnerable adults. We believe every person has the right to be safe, and we take our responsibility to protect that right with the utmost seriousness. We follow the National Catholic Safeguarding Standards and the Diocese of Sydney's safeguarding framework.
The Parish of Our Lady of the Way has zero tolerance for child abuse and abuse of any vulnerable person. Every person in our community deserves to feel safe, respected and protected.
We are committed to embedding a child-safe culture across all parish activities, ministries and programs. The safety and wellbeing of children is our highest priority.
All parish staff and volunteers working with children and vulnerable adults hold a current Working With Children Check and complete mandatory safeguarding training.
We follow the Towards Healing process and the National Catholic Safeguarding Standards. All concerns are taken seriously, responded to promptly and reported to the appropriate authorities.
